How Golf Pants Should Fit

Home Fitting Instructions

Waist: Measure your waist where you normally wear your pants. Subtract 1" if you're measuring over clothes.
Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips/seat, keeping the tape parallel to the ground.
Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem to land.

Fit Breakdown

Waist: True to size with forgiveness from fabric stretch. Available in even waist sizes only — if you wear an odd size, size down.
Seat & Thigh: Tailored athletic fit. Room to turn through the swing without extra fabric.
Length: Choose your inseam for the break you prefer. The 31" inseam is for golfers who normally wear a 32" but want a quarter break.
Rise: Mid-rise, sits naturally at the waist and stays put through 18 holes.

A 5'10", 170 lb. person that wears a size Medium polo wears a 32x32 in Juniper & James pants.
A 6'0", 185 lb. person that wears a size Large polo wears a 34x32 in Juniper & James pants.
A 6'3", 220 lb. person that wears a size XL polo wears a 36x34 in Juniper & James pants.

FAQs

Do the Play On Pants run true to size?

Yes. They share the same waist sizing as our golf shorts, so order your usual even waist size. If you're between sizes, size down — the tech fabric and gripper waistband have give.

What inseams are available?

30", 31", 32" and 34". The 31" is a half step for golfers who traditionally wear a 32" inseam but prefer a quarter break rather than a full break.

Are they cut slim?

Tailored, not slim. Form fitting through the seat and thigh with enough room to make a full turn and sit comfortably in the cart.

Can I wear them off the course?

That's the point. The 5-pocket cut and clean fabric read like a dress pant, so they work straight from the course to dinner or the office. You can rock them with a sport coat at the club or the office no problem.
